Popular Attractions You Can Explore in Cornwall

You must make sure that you stay at the Cornwall holiday cottages when you go on your  Cornwall holidays.  Whether you are travelling alone or you are with a large group composed of family and friends, the Cornwall holiday cottages are always an ideal place to stay. Here are some attractions in Cornwall that you must explore during your Cornwall holidays.

Flambards Village Park

One of the most popular attractions in Cornwall is the Flambards Village Park which used to be called as the Cornwall Aero Park during its opening in 1976. The place is not too far from the Cornwall holiday cottages so it is easy to go and explore the many interesting displays here at the park.  Until now, you will see some of the original aircrafts that were part of the original park.  There is also a war gallery where you can see different aircraft models.

You can also try exploring the Concorde fuselage that was used for exercises on evaluating the best escape routes in case there is an aircraft accident.  There are different games and rides at the park that your kids will enjoy.  The "Britain in the Blitz" is an exhibit that shows the sights and sounds of the blitz and looking at this exhibit gives you an idea of what it was like during the war in London. Take your family with you to the Flambards Village Park during your Cornwall holidays as it is just located near the town of Helston which is a few minutes away from the Cornwall holiday cottages.

Cornish Birds of Prey Centre

One place you must visit during your Cornwall holidays is the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre.  This place is not too far from your Cornwall holiday cottages but you will see many interesting things especially if you are a nature lover.

The bird centre has 50 different birds of prey including some of the most beautiful ones.  The kids will really enjoy watching the different types of birds such as the kookaburras, macaws, parrots, ducks and pheasants.  You can even see some falcons and you can get a lot more information about falconry if you are interested.

You can go to the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre as early as 10 a.m. and do a guided tour on the different amazing birds. There is a short lecture after the tour that teaches you about the history of falcons and an introduction of different birds.  You will learn a whole lot more about birds after this very educational introduction.  You can also have your lunch at the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre and spend the rest of the day looking at other interesting sights of better yet go fishing at the lake. This is one of the interesting sites that you must include in your Cornwall holidays.
